11th Annual Foster Parent/Child BBQ, Swim Party

11 years ago Penny Esser, who works for Children’s Services, explained the Foster Parent Program to Randy Jones stating they were trying to put together a picnic for the foster parents and children and how hard it was for them to raise money amongst themselves to do a picnic, it was exhausting, and they were struggling with it. 

Randy Jones, belonging to 2 nonprofit organizations (the Medford Rotary Club and HBA of JC) suggested the two organizations take on the challenge. We called it our 1st Annual BBQ. They were so thrilled how well it went that they asked if we would be willing to do it again…and we are now celebrating our 11th year!
